If you cancel a level 10 Building that is currently building then you will receive your DI back. If you decontruct an existing level 10 Building then you will NOT get your DI back. Hope this clarifies!

Should just tie building level to the plot instead of building. Meaning you have to update the plot before you can build that level of building you want. That way once a Divine Inspiration has been used on a plot you can tear it down and build something else. Only thing this wouldn't apply to is to buildings you can't tear down knights hall, rally point, watch tower, castle and wall. Sure it would give people an advantage on the Fertilizer, Logging, Stone working, smelting, metal alloys and alloy horseshoes research but now that you are gouging us on knights this wouldn't be such a bad update and would reduce support tickets and player grief. Maybe make people happy

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to update. You can use a DI on a build and "cancel" build and regain DI. I'm not sure about if it's already built tho...so in case you accidentally used di on wrong build, hit cancel!

Not true, just tried it the other day when I somehow clicked on a Rs and upgraded in a city i dont even march from except to send RSS. I immeditaly hit cancel and it went back to lvl 9, but I lost the DI.

If u cancel during building, u get ur DI back. The introduction of this was part of an Update about a half Year ago.
If you didn't get it back, complain to the customer Service.

I made the mistake that i Instantly built a building to level 10 without wanting to do it... I told the Customer Service and they gave me the gems and the DI back and the building was at lvl 9 again afterwards. If u deconstruct a finished lvl 10 building on your own, you'll lose your DI.
