    A problem I noticed with this is alliacnce can now make a base inside a another alliance area lvl to 10000 and if no one be anywhere close to that level to even begin to attack it. there are only a hanfull of player on our server over lvl7500. Upgradeing past your own level i think is unfair.

    I just want to know why. If the designer of this update would come and answer why. Nothing canned, just an answer to motivation and the evolutionary thinking process involved on how this patch progressed from mind to machine.

    Well, with this and the previous updates the game has gone from being a quite strategic game to be all about making troops. Aurora was the last okay upgrade. But third and fourth warp gate, troop XP and now this map upgrade change just change the whole dynamics. Res is almost useless. The cost of making troops these days and the huge staging areas just makes you a troop factory, you dont need defences or anything really. You can build a massive amount of troops and claim one spot and stay there. The map rewards are so rediciolus compared to the work to claim them. I'm got a pretty hi level, well above 10k - I could just claim 10 bases, make them 100 k each and have a nice 1 mill land that noone can touch. Why should I even care about being in or having an alliance??? Using troops to be able to make higher bases than 2k would be okay if they where limited to lets say 5k. Bring down the XP gained for troops a bit. Stop the hole making possibility - that is put the 72 hour limit on forming a new alliance just as it is going back to one. Add higher PvE bases - 5k there too. Increase map rewards and make more increments. Lets say for 1mill, 5 mill, 10 mill, 15 mill, 20 mill, 30 mill etc. The jumps are to big. 10 mill is hard but 40 is insane - we not even trying to get to that in our alliance as that means we must be at 25 k all the time which is almost a death sentence. Downgrading your own bases is also usefull, rather have that possibility than that the bases doesnt downgrade at capture.

    First, THANK YOU for the hard work Kabam.

    I generally like this upgrade.

    However, it brings up another problem:

    Where are we going to spend the resources on.

    I also think there should be a ratio of how many levels players can upgrade BY the player's level.

    I can imaging people creating multis just to make troops 24/7 and feed them to outposts upgrade because the fortification power would be the same no matter what level the player is.

    Hi Nicholas,

    I think the overall concept is really good and opens up all sorts of interesting possibilities for the map. I have 3 suggestions:

    1. Main "problem"/complaint atm is directed more at the "numbers", rather than the general concept. It takes too many troops per level of map upgrade. Just reduce it and lots of people will be happy. Or have a secondary upgrading system that uses c and g too.

    2. Even with the current numbers, we have very high level bases (I'm staring at a L75k base right now). We need to:
    a. Be able to attack bases like this, regardless of our level
    b. Have more than 2 attacks before DP kicks in.
    c. Clearly, a v high level base should require a herculean effort to take. But it should still be *possible*, even if the probability is like 1% and it needs 100 warps.


    3. Minor point - can the very high level bases have L11 or L12 guns rather than L10. A high lvl base with puny L10 guns is just a bad accident waiting to happen.

    4. Another way to circumvent (1) is to have a convex upgrading cost curve, easy at the start, harder at the ends. Also, for (2), agree that level caps as a function of player level might partially help too.


    Anw. ATM, I am in love with the possibility of an alliance with only 1 map square having 10M rewards =P

    This seems like some one had the thought of how do you attack the issue of Ghosting and the ALSO make more money. The problem is, the good thing ghosting did is it then allowed for new people to find a place on an older map. Also, Ghosting would not have been a problem if people had all of their territories upgraded adequately.

    1) Now, we are not seeing a real purpose behind our gas and crystals.
    2) Perhaps this could have been done where if you want to upgrade beyond your own level, then you would need to use your troops... or you could even switch that around.
    3) Maybe the map rewards could be restructured to give out more speed ups at the lower levels. Because it seem that will be the only way you can even get into the map... if you can speed up your troop production.
    4) Get it so that when you have higher training centers, you can upgrade the production speeds.

    This is bigger than huge problem.

    And it comes from multiple problems that kabam has not resolved, even it has said it has. So that is just plain lying in their part.

    As mentioned earlier threads. bullying is second biggest problem in this game. I played ursa major too... many bullies there, sadly. But so are in the current Cassiopeia sector too. Kabam actually rewards these bullies...

    Before the upgrade, there was a huge problem on map. partly because of these bullies. Handfull people want to have 75k bases... Some of these bullies have multiple accounts... that is 5 accounts or more...

    Big problem of before was that the map did not refresh fast enough. During these 60 seconds, a person could have made 9 base box almost compleate. What I mean, 5-8 bases taken in less than a minute. When the map refreshes and you try to block the attack, it is already too late. Wierd to see six, 1k-2k bases turn when map refreshes, in a straight line, making a box. I can not even load those bases that fast. Then they hit only high lvl bases, which have been upgraded... in two days, couple persons did rogue alliance attacks... over 1million points in tiers lost... it was impossible to stop them. when you tried to counter attack, it was nullified faster than your own screen could refresh... wonder if this a hack of some sort... maprefreshing so fast... then the player abandons the alliance... and bases become basic value.

    Maybe this new map thing is a fix to this, but still...

    not to mention those slow troop training now... and resources becoming utterly useless

    Highest player now 6590 lvl and in his new alliance base is already 18k, some 10k+ bases already... so to scout 10k base, one needs to be lvl 6667. so many bases already in the map that highst lvl people can not even scout. but this is the point of the game now it seems...

    no fun to play anymore...
    not to mention those blessed with luck who have won cerulean cores from zoot, or money men, who can have 4 warp gates... kinda stupid... if asked me...

    when the gain xp at training troops came, I said, this is the "jumping the shark" moment and lets wait few weeks they will make the final deathblow to this game... and this new upgrade seems to be it...

    this upgrade is , i could swear, nonsense , in one up grade we have alliance members dumping all their troops and putting 13k bases on the map, without any warning about these changes, our best players cant even scout these bases, KABAM what are u thinking of, what do players do with resources, you can now only upgrade bases using troops ?????, also your upgrade nackered the ability to take bases, our alliance had lost 100's overnight, but couldn't take them back, this is a complete mess and has ruined the game

    I agree with all that Rahl says, this latest "update"? is killing what was a good game. ( I hope all the messages from the othe forum are read by Kabam.)

    1. I think the requirements to level up the base is way too much.. Look at it like this.. I said it earlier, 1,702 bombas level 9 adds roughly 1.2k level.. Then all it takes is 50 bombas, with the right level player, to basically wipe out what I just added.. I know this is a competiion, and I'm all for it.. But that is a little too much.. There is nothing about that, that says to me "Hey, buy plat to boost the time on training".. Why on earth would I pay money to lose something so easily.. That is just my opinion on that..
    2. I personally have not tested anything out yet but from what I can tell is that, like most patch/updates, it's buggy as heck.. Why was this not tested on the test server, or was it? - Might want to clear that up bro.
    3. Why not just remove resources out at this point.. The only resource that is remotely worth anything anymore is Uranium.. I mean, why remove that option.. Why not let us use C/G until we get a base to 2k and then have the option to use troops afterwards? Or something.. C/G is utterly worthless now...

    4. THANK YOU for the tourny tabs and the trouny's themselves.. This game is dying, and dying fast.. This might help keep it above water.. For now.

    with the massive fortification... reaching certain tier should be easy... don't you think its time to reduce the 25k limit to a lower number perhaps 15k or 10k
