I tried to log in this morning and the entire game had reset and wouldn't recover my game. Once I went through tutorial it seemed this has happened to everyone. Please explain.

I had this same thing happen and everything is gone now.
I'm in the same boat. I was asked to log in (which has never happened before) and when I did my cities were gone :-(
Same here - looks like it happened to everyone. After days and weeks of building up strength, this really ticks me off. Kabam better fix this or they just lost me as a customer for any game they design.
I just force closed app then restarted and I am back!

Exit game. Double click home. Press and hold game icon till it wiggles. Close using red minus. Click home. Click home again. Start game.

My game is still lost; and I spent money on this stupid thing.
It seems to be affecting almost everyone. I'm sure at worst kabam will roll back to the last backup and we'll all be running again. I hope so anyway. Now where is that backup?
I'm back on. Phew, thought I might have to go and do something in the real world.
