"While there is no known issue in which gold unexplainably disappears while a player is offline, I have marked it as a potential new issue"

PLEASE POST BELOW if you have experienced Gold disappearing overnight but you are fully aware that Generals use Gold when assigned and you have been careful to understand that your tax income is higher than your Gold spend so you shoudl accumulate gold and not lose it.

We are being fobbed off with the 'Generals spend gold' routine everytime someone comments but we need Kabam to understand that this is a REAL ISSUE that is leaving players exposed when Gold depletes when offline and your defending Generals get unassigned.

Yeh I experience this also, but only sometimes and don't know why sometimes. I suddenly run out of gold, even though my gold consumption is lower than my gold income :/

I have been experiencing the Generals getting unassigned while I am offline for several days. Of course my gold gets depleted every single time it happens, its been about a week now. I also asked and several people in my alliance are experiencing the exact same thing. I have had to reassign generals every day for a week and most times 2 or 3 times a day.

your generals use gold when assigned... the higher the general, the more gold they use. the generals use the gold like troops use food... if you do not have enough gold income, the generals will use up the gold and when it gets to 0 they are unassigned

Hey guys, yes Jim Wolfe is correct above. Generals who are assigned need to be paid a "wage" in gold, which increases as the General Level increases.

Every time you click to assign a general to a post, the amount of gold that will be consumed per hour is shown for each general next to the orange "assign" button.

If you run out of Gold and can't pay the salary, then the General will become unassigned.

So you are telling me that my generals are using 6 mil in golds at night????? just in the past 2 or 3 days have any of my generals reached lvl 65...... Dang now I know why I cant aford to buy my third city blueprints or G.O.'s " I'M NOT A GENERAL " I'm just a player who wants to know what you are going to do to help thoes of us who are workin hard every day to get nowhere in this game. I like G.W. alot it is the FIRST game that I have ever gotten into. But I am losing intrest very fast so please give us some hope

I too am experiencing this issue. there have been a couple of threads and here is another one.

Jim Wolf and Josh:
We understand that Assigned generals cost gold and that value is there when you assign them.

You would think that we should be able to calculate how much it will cost if you leave 4 level 55 general (1100 G/HR) assigned for 10 hours.
4 X 1100 X 10 = 44000 gold.


Now agreeing with Crackers, how can my generals become unassigned due to lack of gold when I sign off with 600k gold and return in 8 hrs to ?1600 and then watch it climb

PLEASE RE READ MY ORIGINAL POST - I HAVE BEEN VERY CAREFUL TO UNDERSTAND MY SPEND VERSUS MY INCOME!

This is a very real issue that is leaving us exposed with no generals!

Well I am here to say that the issue has not been addressed because the issue was blown off. Jim Wolfe was half correct and we already understood that generals get paid with gold "while assigned" to a role. However, a level 55 general earning 1100 gold an hour times 4 generals roles equals 4400 gold an hour which equals 105600 gold per 24 hour period which is how gold wages are charged. However, when you have 500k gold in your town account and ALL of it disappears to pay 4 generals, then SOMETHING is wrong with the software. IN fact after looking at all of my generals levels and having 16 generals in that town, it looks MORE like ALL generals are getting paid whether they are assigned a role or not. This has been happening to me for over a week and the problem is compounded by the fact that ALL generals become unassigned instead of all but the last one that cant get paid.

So in the end the deal is that all my generals become unassigned if there isnt enough money to pay the last one, all my gold disappears even if I was only short 100 gold (according to my calculations to pay all 16 of my generals with the existing amount of gold in my town). In other words if I have enough gold to pay for all my generals but one (1100 gold for one level 55 general) then I lose ALL422,400 gold which pays for 16 generals both the 4 assigned roles and 12 unassigned, and all 4 generals become unassigned.

Seriously if i were a game programmer and my reputation were on the line, I'd be looking to fix this as fast as I could, but then I am not kabam.
