So is KoC:BftN still in BETA?

If that's the case - is there going to be a wipe when things become official?
If there's a wipe when things become official, will we be refunded for gems spent in the beta?

These are obviously very crucial pieces of information for a game like this.

Thanks,

Hi akkim,
thanks for your message. the answer is NO, there is not going to be a wipe and we are not going to delete ANY DATA from our DataBase!
The Game is still in Beta, that means that we are basically optimizing the game play and tweaking the mechanics and the stats and we will introduce new features as well as working on Bugs and Known issues

So you're asking a customer-base to pay for things in Beta which are highly subject to change (which can directly result in zeroing the value of any money spent)? That doesn't seem like a really good business decision in the end - and definitely makes the decision for me NOT to spend any money in the game right now.

Thanks for the honest answer, it is appreciated

Thanks for your msg
All games go to a development phase with the ultimate goal to make the game the best possible.
The game play is there, but stats and mechanics as well as few features might change

The game is now in Beta, which basically means that we are still testing the game.

Just wanted to add a correction here.

What beta really means for Kabam is they can have tons of bugs and glitches and not take responsibility for them.

There are still bugs in the original KoC that they have not taken care of and it is still in "beta" after being released for what 3 years now?

Not long ago a "bug" caused players to loose real money because Kabams solution to fixing the problem was to wipe most of the players inventory which means that anything someone bought with gems that they payed for was gone. Now I will say that they managed to restore some players inventory but not all of them, not by a long shot.

Think twice before you spend any money on Kabam.

Now for the only reason I came back to these forums in the first place, where is the edit button? I am on a list for people to add me for KoC and I do not want any more KoC friend requests since I have quit. SO where is the edit button so I can edit my post and remove my FB link?

Thanks.

You're kidding right? The original KoC is still in beta after years of being released and since it is still in beta KoC players constantly get messages like "oh sorry you lost 500k cats due to a glitch but we can't replace them because the game is still in beta and there are still bugs"

It's essentially an MMO and MMO's by nature are constantly getting updated and evolving so there will always be bugs in there just most companies, other companies with good customer service actually try to help the player when a bug or glitch effects said player in a negative way. Sadly though you look at us as a consumer, just trying to get us to spend money a few times in order to make a profit, doesn't really matter to you if we loose money due to a glitch with your hardware/software.

Speaking of customer service last time I used these forums there had not been a mod or Kabam rep on the KoC forums for quite a long time, hope that doesn't happen here just because you guys don't want to answer the hard questions.

Let's see if you guys can help for once...

Post #20 delete it or delete the info from it please. There is no edit button on that post for me, I'm guessing because I made that post long before you guys switched to the new forums, Thanks.

Just seen that...it made me lol. How bout you go back in time and "not" wipe KoC's data?

I share Twitched concerns, KOC facebook version is still in Beta, and its been in Beta for years now, I do hope you guys realize that Apple is allowed to remove your game from the Itunes store for being in Beta to long and that they did remove apps for that exact reason in the past.

A beta version normaly runs for a periode of more or less then 6 months, in these 6 months the game is tested, bugs are fixed, untill the game is playable enough to go live.
Going live doesnt mean it cant be containing bugs and glitches, it just means the game is good enough to be called reliable.
Games like this are allways updated with new features to keep things interesting, new features also mean new bugs, thats ok no need to stay in Beta for that.
