Metal Skies will be shutting down on March 6th, 2015. Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers to explain what is happening and why. Thank you for supporting us, and we hope you try other great Kabam games on mobile!
1. Why is Metal Skies shutting down?
Metal Skies had an amazing run, and an awesome group of players. Unfortunately it just never reached the numbers that we needed to keep supporting it. Luckily, there are a number of other great mobile strategy games offered by Kabam for you to play!
2. When is the last day I can play Metal Skies?
The servers will be going offline March 6th, 2015. This will be the last day that Metal Skies will be available.
3. Why can’t I buy Medals anymore?
The payments system has been permanently turned off. You will no longer be able to purchase Medals in Metal Skies.
4. What happens if I bought Medals? Do I get anything back?
Please contact our support team describing your situation - please make sure you have registered either a Divine Might or Wartune: Hall of Heroes account.
If you decide to play Wartune: Hall of Heroes or Divine Might using the same Kabam account following the closure of Metal Skies, we will be more than happy transfer your entire purchase history into the new game of your choosing!
5. Why can’t Kabam just leave the game up as it is?
There are a lot of factors that go into maintaining a game. Beyond the basics like server costs, a team is needed to address customer concerns and maintain the game to ensure that it's as fun as possible. We'd much rather get you set up on another one of our titles that can offer full development and customer support so that you can have the best experience.
6. Will this affect any other Kabam games I play or want to play?
Nope! All of our game teams are separated, meaning that although it is sad that Metal Skies is no longer going to be supported, it wont impact any of our other games. Third party games from Kabam, such as Divine Might and Wartune: Hall of Heroes, have been out for months and show no signs of slowing down!
7. Is there any way to save my player data or progress?
The best way to keep your memories of Metal Skies would be to take a screen shot of your Hangar before the closure date, March 6th, 2015. No player data will be saved once the servers are taken offline.
8. Will there be any more events for Metal Skies?
Events and contests will no longer be held.
9. If I paid in Metal Skies, can I get my payment history transferred to Divine Might or Wartune: Hall of Heroes?
If you decide to play Wartune: Hall of Heroes or Divine Might using the same Kabam account following the closure of Metal Skies, we will be more than happy transfer your entire purchase history into the new game of your choosing!
Here's all you need to do:
1. Create a new account in either Divine Might or Wartune: Hall of Heroes. Here are some articles that can help guide you through this process
-Divine Might: http://kabam.force.com/PKB/articles/...Divine%20Might
-Wartune: http://kabam.force.com/PKB/articles/...%20of%20Heroes
2. Submit a support ticket containing your Metal Skies player information as well as the player information for your newly created character! Be sure to include the name of the game, your character's name (case sensitive), server, as well as any additional information that will help us to locate your character.
3. We will begin to make the transfer of your entire purchase history as soon as we recieve and process your request
If you have not received your Gold (Divine Might) or Balens (Wartune: Hall of Heroes) by March 6th, 2015 please write to us so we can figure out what may have happened.
Thank you all so much for playing and supporting Metal Skies. We are sad to see Metal Skies go but we know you will all have a great time playing Divine Might or Wartune: Hall of Heroes!
