    Tanner,
While he could have stated it in a more mature manner, Omnikron is correct.

This is war and you pick the battles you know you can win. Which are almost always against lower level players.

But you can learn too. Study how you were hit and then you can learn to defend against it and how to use it when you are a higher level. Cuz when you get bigger, you're gonna hit someone smaller too. :-)
I quit this game over a year ago...

This game is about attacking bases. The ability of anyone to attack your base is by design.

The only penalties to getting your base destroyed is losing resources and waiting for repairs (30 min). Fortunately, the amount you lose is less and less the higher the level of the attacker to your level. Now, depending on the formation of your defensive guns and how much you upgrade them, it makes it harder and harder for people to attack you. The key is to make it just difficult enough that only very high levels can wipe base, who will only get a little bit of resources, which makes it not worth it for farming.

Get a better base formation (do research), upgrade your guns (should be almost as high as your command center level), and you'll find that people will stop farming you.

Now if you're complaining about getting attacked all the time in general which in turn makes people want to attack you, then I can't help with that.

    Good luck!

I have a similar query, however by all means I don't mind being attacked. My problem is how the hell are they able to know when to attack every time I collect a butt load of resources. I suspect some sort of a bug or cheat?

If a high lvl player demolish your base, he doesn't get much res at all. Nor exp. It's mostly wasted on their end to do it. They hurt their progression in the game more than yours in reality. To you, a butt load may be 2-3 mill res. A high lvl player can get 1 mill res from a good PVE attack and a whole lot more exp than he does targeting you. So basically, he's losing his warps attacking you. While you may not know it, in the greater scheme of things, he is "losing" when he attack you. Waste of warp (time), waste of res (he'd get more attacking a high lvl player or a high lvl NPC) and waste of exp (he get a lot less raiding you than he would raiding an easy exp spot)

So when someone 3x your level is attacking you, don't feel so bad... especially if he's losing troops doing so (and even more so if he's losing troops that takes a long time to train, like shrikes). He's hurting himself more than you. You have won even if the report say you were defeated.

I gather there are ways to tell how much res a player is holding by poking around with browser debugging tools or the like, think I saw a video about it on youtube, but I didn't watch it 'cause I have no interest in that so dunno what they were suggesting or how legit it was...

Exactly, main problem is (as Joel1 mentioned) not the attacks, how they know each time I collect them (and by butt load I mean 8 to 15 mil). Also it is not the high level player who does the final blow, he takes out the main turrets and a player few levels lower than me comes and takes the resources. I admire the strategy, but what I store in my silos should be like my safe private unless looted by force.

this game can be fun until you hit ~250 and there's 10 losers who pay $500 and are at level 1000. It's sad but the only thing to this game is how much money you put into it. And that is NOT A STRATEGY GAME, it's a lame way to rob pathetic nerds of their money. I have personally stopped playing this game. I'm just happy I was never tempted to shell out $20 bucks for a few points of platinum like so many other people have.
