    Reporting Cheating Players

The server issue of duplicating troops is getting out of hand. I have posted players jumping 200-500 mill in power in a day and thanks to Kabam they are still doing it. I love the dedication you put into your games and shows how much you care. This game has turned into a hackers field day and leaves the most players who donate time and effort in to hide and feared of getting level by 500k+ Stealth Bombers. You dont need skill to do this none. For this effort i am forwarding all players to take a photo of a hacker and send it to kabam daily so they can deal with this problem and i can continue to attack fair players.

Hi The Pellet, thanks for taking the time to post about this. While the forum is not the place to report suspicious or illegal activity you've encountered in the game, I do encourage you to submit a support ticket with any information you have that will assist us in taking action against these players. As a fellow player, I know cheating players can be frustrating for those of us who play fair, so please take the time to report things that you come across so that we can look into them. If you haven't received a response at all, you might want to double-check your junk mail, or confirm the email address you have on file is the one you use regularly (this is often a problem). Otherwise, please click here to resubmit the ticket and give us another opportunity to help you. Thank you so much for your patience!

To paraphrase a customer support email: "We need more details". I provided the domain, what time it happened, date, and a screenshot of the chat that shows names and alliances, along with the messages in question. You can't find it with all of that and "need more details"? What "more details" do you need? Do you need the chat dialog translated into cuneiform or something? Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, maybe?

I don't think their infrastructure can keep track of things. It's just too much bookkeeping, so they rely on users to report suspicious behavior/hacking/glitching. I also think with so many layoffs at the company, that a lot, if not all of the talent that initially developed the game have gone to other companies, leaving Kabam with very little understanding of their own code, and therefore can't fix these legacy games. I think their recent acquisitions show that they are winding down KoC and other KoC-variants (e.g. GW), games they can't support anymore, and moving onto new titles where they've bought games and the people who can maintain and improve those games.

I think they're going to keep milking KoC and related games as long as people keep paying money to play them.

Eh, they just take the code from the legacy games, copy it, and paste it. Then they design new graphics and slot those into their proper place. Same game engine, so to speak, but re-skinned. While that's an easy way to "present something new", if the underlying code has "issues", you're going to get the exploits and other hooey that are present across all games. Granted, if you can figure out how to patch the exploits in one game, it should be easier to patch in similar games. The trick is in getting a patch for one game going. It wouldn't surprise me if their programming talent found someplace better. They'd better hope, however, that their future interviewers don't start laughing when they see "Worked for Kabam as a..." on the resume.

And personally, I'd find it sad that they don't have anyone there that can do a search of the database, run a Crystal Report, or something to find the suspicious activity themselves.
