How about making it fair and letting the same people only win once every 5 tournaments. When its the same people win every tournament, whats the point to even try for the top 3 to 5 spots.

I agree with this.
So make it fair by not let the people better at building might than you play? You have just as much chance as anyone else. Those of us who are at the top invest a lot of time between and during tourney to place well. Why should we be punished so those who are not willing to spend the time have a chance to win. When I don't feel like competing for gems, not ready or just building on a new domain, I have found it easy enough to get any prize other than gems, so there was always a point.
Its a game of credit cards. There are people who build 2 mil. might in one day how is that fair? I invest a lot of time also and have yet to make it there because i cant compete with their cards. Most contests outside of the game you can only win every so often so why not here?
2 mil might in a day, oh please I have seen where people are doing 50 mil might a day. As long as troop bundles are bought you are going to have this. The tournaments need to be builds and troop builds only, no inventory troop bundles should be able to be redeemed during a tournament.

Ummm, get troop training cards.... Especially the triple advisor and double chair/trophy, and you will have no problem making troops! A morale boost would be needed as well, to help repopulate quicker!
