Ok. This is a serious question to serious players who have some sort of battle knowledge. To all of you that send a wraith to do your dirty work, please, don't reply, I don't need to hear a noobs theory to my question.
As some of you are aware there are recipes being introduced to defend wraiths with minimal losses. You see some of the monster players out there with mad amounts of troops have a recipe of troops defending to basically absorb all wraith attacks with minimal damage. Trading in the minimal loss for the victory and satisfication that their city wasn't farmed, and a wraith was wasted.
Usually these wraith defenses consist of long range troops...fire mirrors, lava jaws, longbows, then they throw in fangs and or ogres as a meat shield.
My question is... Is there an easy way to defeat this? Or at least put a huge hurt on them?
I understand with so many long range troops, you could use a march of 200k ogre or even giants, and force the long range troops into melee attack with such a small battle field. BUT.. you still gotta deal with the ogre/fangs that are in front of the long range. It would be nice if your attacking march slipped behind defending fangs/ogre and battled long range from first attack, but I have a feeling the ogre/fangs defending will absorb most of the attack.
Just to give you guys an idea of what Im up against.
900,000 lava jaws
Im tempted to pop an altar to get better revive %, and toss a march of 200k ogres..or giants.
BUT... I would like to hear some feedback first. Has anyone encountered a defense like this and taken a stab at it? What worked? What doesnt work?...Anyone have a better idea than just 200k ogre?
Please, Im interested to hear what other experienced players have to say.
