I see a lot of TR items with bonuses to wall (some specific like traps, xbows, etc and some general). Can someone please tell me what these do exactly? And are they worth saving? (I've been salvaging them so far).

The description is that they help your wall. Your wall does not come into battle until all of your troops, field defenses and wall defenses are dead/destroyed or hidden. The only thing walls defend is gold. So if you want to protect your gold from medium strength attacks, this is the item for you.
The xbow bonus affects range/life/attack/accuracy/defense and xbow range otherwise cannot be buffed/debuffed as far as I know, so this can be an interesting choice.
