    Diagonal cascading – Cheating ???

We have players in the draco sector that temporarily leave their alliances and setup a small alliance, they then take bases diagonally then they disband their alliance which leaves an abandoned outposts, they are doing this with so much effect that huge holes in the map appear very quickly.

Is this a cheat, how are they able to do this ?

It is called ghosting. Some people think it is OK, some people don't. It is legal.

As to how ghosting is done, that is pretty simple. Start a new alliance. Take a bunch of bases. Disband the alliance. Boom, you now have ghosted spaces on the map.

Yeah ok but how does that explain taking spaces diagonally, thats not possible unless your alongside your own alliance outpost.

    That I've never seen.

Edited to add: I figured out how to do this. Simply ghost one outpost at a time. Diagonals are no problem at all then.

For those who can't figure this out:

    1) Start a new alliance, take an outpost.

    2) Disband alliance.

    3) Start a new alliance, take an outpost diagonally adjacent to first outpost.

    4) Disband alliance.

    5) Repeat 3-4.

This might be so but having had a base in said 'cascade' and for it to leave no attack report?? how is this so??

Ok, if you really want to ghost, don't bother going diagonally. Just take the biggest area in the quickest time. There are no advantages to taking bases diagonally.

The Idea is sound if theres a major power on such sector and no one can defeat them then get a few hundred players from opposing alliances to take the map back you call it ghosting i call it reverting the map back to almost orginal
This game has changed and with change comes new adventures with new adventures comes new friends to enjoy them with
