I've tried everything suggested and nothing is working. And I'd also like to say that I shouldn't have to go to all the trouble of setting up new apple IDs and restoring my device back to past restore points just so that I can buy gems.
If kabam wants my money then they will have to pull their finger out and get this fixed so that it works properly.

I'm sure there are plenty of other people that feel the same way.

We understand that this is a frustrating issue and in order to resolve it we would need your help. Please take a moment to see if the following questions can address your situation:

#1 - Is this an ISP (Internet Service Provider) issue?

Try to make a purchase in another location, perhaps on a friend's WiFi or on any other protected WiFi network (not a public WiFi, like a coffee shop, as those aren't always reliable or may have weird login rules).

#2 - Is this an iTunes account issue?

Do you have a friend/relative that will let you use their iTunes account to attempt a purchase on KBN? (Please let us know if this is a possibility before attempting this option and we will provide you with further instruction via Support).

#3 - Could this be an iDevice issue?

Do you have a way to try the game on a different iDevice? If so, please download the app on another compatible iDevice. Make sure to login to KBN with your kabam.com information and try purchasing Gems while on the same WiFi you are normally on.

#4 - Is this a KBN account issue?

If you are able to load the “Gems” menu, you should be able to make a purchase through the iTunes store. Reload the app and try once more to make your desired purchase.

Should none of these questions address the core issue you are experiencing, please let us know by clicking here to contacting support. Please include detailed information such as any error messages you are receiving.

    Thanks for replying jennifer. BUT,

#1 it has nothing to do with the ISP. It does it wether I'm on a cellular network or on wifi. I've tried on a few different wifi access points as well.

#2 It has nothing to do with iTunes. I can make purchases through the itunes store and also through other apps. I even set up another iTunes account like it was suggested but that didn't work either.

#3 It's not the device, I have the same issue on my iphone4 and my iPad 3. Both devices are up to date and I have deleted an reinstalled the app numerous times and i still get the same error. And also if it was the device what are the chances of soooo many people having the exact same problem.

#4 I can load the gem purchase page and it comes up to confirm purchase, I then put in my password and then it comes up saying "contact iTunes support to finalize this transaction" then in game it pops up "connect to iTunes error". I get this exact same thing on both devices.

So stop trying to pass the buck and get this error fixed. It has to be a in game bug for so many people to be effected.

I will now be lodging a support ticket and will be doing so every day till its fixed.

For me this works once the iTunes bill goes through and it takes the money out. It's annoying how iTunes take money out whenever they feel like lol.

If you buy an itunes gift card though you can refresh your balance by buying a free song/book/app of the week.

Has there been any progress on fixing this bug yet. I'm still unable to purchase gems. It's getting very frustrating and is putting me at a disadvantage in the game compared to people who are able to purchase them.

Well you guys successfully fucked up my phone.

Phone works like a charm (as much of a charm an apple product can do), then I go and install this game and now the game is broke, and I cannot connect to iTunes store.

#1 No, my ISP is fine thank you.
#2 No, my iTunes account is great. I backed up my phone the other day, I downloaded a new app, etc etc... hell, I can even install new apps despite not being able to connect to iTunes store.
#3 No, my iPhone 4s with latest software was perfect (as perfect as apple can be) before the latest "maintenance" you guys did on your game. Now suddenly *poof*. Am I going to try to install your game on my wifes iPhone or her iPad 2? lol you're kidding right?

I never even purchased any "gems" or whatever you guys call it. I've got 2 between my legs and that's all I need.

You guys do "maintenance", now I cannot connect to the game at all. Now when I click "Updates" in my App store, I get the error "Cannot connect to iTunes store". Coincidence? Nah.

Kabam it is currently spreading to more and more players... What will you do once the money dries up and those buying gems are all affected? You'll fix it... So just fix it now, before people start leaving your game! i have spent 1000s of $ on this game. Sort it out.
