As far as I know the only to get more cores/ ingots are to buy them, get them from zoot, or win them. they dont come as a loot drop as far as I know

You can get cerulean cores from either zoot loot, helio salvage crates or from the map tournaments, otherwise you need to buy them.
Scarbide ignots are also found in helio salvage crates i believe, but other than from zoot loot there is no other way to get them for free either.

OK, so if the items looted from Maar attacks is the A1 after 378 CCs destroyed, what items get looted from how many Legion and Syndicate CCs destroyed? Would that not be Helio Salvage crates from around 38 CCs destroyed?!?

Agreed, the Helio Salvage crate is 40 platinum, so that is ten per cent of the Schematic...38 Legion CCs destroyed should just about do it. The question is, if you continue to destroy the CCs, will you get another one...Helio Salvage, Erazi Smugglers or Schematic?!?
