How and what on earth were you thinking??

I decided a while ago not to spend any more money on the game and how right i was. I stopped buying mainly because Kabam took away my chance (however slim) to get some of the diamonds back.
But when Kabam took away any fairness of the game with these sliced up tournys i believe that i did the right thing by stop purchasing til there's a change.
First of all there are players with virtually no xp at all having more death squads than i have, and i've been playing for over six months.
Then when all players are in different tournys, there's absolutely no way to get a grip on who might be strong or not.
Small players suddenly have lots of bundles strong troopers and strong players suddenly have lots of small accounts due to it beeing so easy to win 6000 Death sq. on low lvl tournys.

My requests are:
Please don't do maintenance during ongoing tournys! And if you really need to do it, please don't do it the last hours of the tournys.
These few last hours decides the outcome of the tourny. Feels kinda rotten to have spent lots of hours and then Kabam walks in in and ruins all.

Stop these splitted tournys!
It totally ruins any balance of the game. Better to have one tourny and more prizes. That way you have to actually play the game if you want a prize. And also prizes would feel more fair. The higher u get in tourny the better prizes.

I am so hoping that Kabam would consider to change back again.

Here were my thoughts:

1) Make new super units (obviously can't change units already distributed) always die like Triggermen, aka in battle they die after Thugs. As result, you can use them for an advantage in an attack, but their numbers will degrade over time. This will encourage constant action.

2) Do not allow new superunits to be hidden. You can try to stash them in CSs but this would really increase the desire to defend. You could even make them ineligible for placement in CSs.

3) Limit time for tower ownership, limit troops allowed per holder, more towers.

4) Bearer bonds earnable in hits on owned CSs.

5) One diamond daily for logging in.

6) Significant Respect bonus for killing special units.

Yes, the game has always been glitchy; and yes, Kabam! has always released new troop types to make the old ones obsolete, and devised tournaments and other events to entice people to buy diamonds, but has anyone else picked up on the fact that it's become absolutely DESPERATE as of late?

Several times a week, a message now appears in our in boxes that reads:

"Buy diamonds and receive bonus ... super, duper, kick a$$ somethings! No other way to get these super, duper, kick a$$ something except to buy diamonds RIGHT NOW!!!"

Meanwhile, the super, duper, kick a$$ something hasn't even been added to the game menus yet ... and the previously released super, duper, kick a$$ something isn't even working properly yet (instead, it's crashing the game) as evidenced by this thread: http://community.kabam.com/forums/sh...tch-and-freeze. Of course ... that's on top of the million other unresolved glitches that have never been fixed (and which Kabam! isn't even paying lip service to fixing anymore ...)

Ironwhale this will not increase pvp or "scouting" for that matter.. scouting was already important and valuable before this change. exp system shouldnt have changed. this will cause pvp to rarely happen unless you dont mind being very risky or have good credit lol... your takin out the fun in the game. That proves to me as a player that spends a little here and there atleast. That Kabam are nothing but a business that seems to me is not interested in the " FREE " word in their main headers.

Here's a little info i dug up about the aims of kabam :

"Kabam’s gross revenues will grow more than 50 percent in 2012 from more than $100 million in 2011."
They want to push an over 50% growth in gross revenue over the span of one year. Now are you still wondering why they're selling T12s in the Nexus?

2.Kabam is "based in San Francisco with offices in Austin, Texas, Beijing and Luxembourg."

You're not talking about a game developing company with like 10 people laboring over the game they love, okay? When you buy Realm gold, it is not going directly to the Realm employees either. Maybe you're actually just paying for the lights in their Beijing office.

3.Kabam employees get "daily catered lunches." (Sounds like they're doing just fine w/ regard to the ludicrous comments about dinner on their tables. Who knows, maybe they cater tacos, too.)

4.There are over 400 Kabam employees. Yes, Realm is part of a business, but no one is being forced to work for Kabam and customers can be legitimately angry over ineptitude at a job. Dealing with the game communities is part of the job description. Dealing with a pissed off community is still part of the job description, especially if they helped piss off the community in the first place.

5.Apparently you can directly send an "Inappropriate Behavior Report" to Kabam. It's the same as submitting a support ticket, but hey, if you find a duper and can't figure out how to send a ticket, there's another option. You'll probably just add to their backlog, but at least you tried.

6.They are currently hiring for the following positions (along with like 50 other positions):

Architect, Customer Loyalty and Rewards San Francisco
Consumer Insights Intern (Graduate Level) San Francisco
Consumer Insights Manager San Francisco

This is only really relevant in that I'm sure whoever fills the Customer Loyalty position is going to have a heck of a time with Realm and so many people quitting/taking an extended break. Also, if they have no consumer insights manager right now, do they even HAVE anyone on consumer insights? That might explain the nearly mindnumbing bad decisions they've been making, like still going ahead and releasing T12s while everyone is already agitated over the duping crisis.

OK so it's alot to read but if you ask me this is not a company that is focusing on its players its only focusing on its revenue so when you actually lose your troops to a bug or a glitch or whatever way your just making them rub their hands because they know their bank rolls are goin to pay out.

You tell me if you feel kabam are a company that make you feel like they want you and i can guarntee say that there will be over 80% maybe more of the people that read this would also agree kabam milk us for what they can and when something goes wrong its always us that feel we are to blame.

They say about the amount of excess lag and go on about the amount of problems that kabam are busy fixing but what sort of company blames its players for it's problems ? when it is the company that is aiming for an income of double of last year !

I for sure wont be spending a penny on this game again for several reasons but i wont make this thread any longer than it is but kabam is looking to double its gross so expect ALOT of deals and new things to come before 2014 !

They actually escalated a couple of the tickets before they just closed them!

I won 44,000 Black widows and 1,000 bombers from the spend diamonds and win widows and bombers event. The event prize was sent to the wrong server. Instead of sending the prize to the server I spent the diamonds on - they sent it to another server I play on. I have been trying like hell to get them to move the event prize from the wrong server to the right server (from Beaumont to Genovese). I have send screen shots of the prize on the Beaumont server.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to get Kabam to answer a ticket - they just keep ignoring me and I have spent thousands on this game!

Ive been thinking about the attack order system, and i think it needs little updating. The two systems offered different perks. the first system offered more attacks over amount of time. meaning better for farming MI etc.. ,but the second system offered more attacks in a shorter time frame. im proposing two ideas to get the community thinking again over attack orders.

- My first idea is to combine all the attack orders from all hoods owned into one universal bank of orders. meaning if you have all 6 hoods you will get 240 attack orders that can be used by any hood (40 orders x 6 hoods = 240 total orders), and will still have the current 15 minutes to "refull." but every 15 minutes would give you 6 orders.

ask yourself whats the point to have a crew member only send orders once every 24 hours to one certain crew member?..under the current system it basically means you only add a few orders to ONE HOOD.. so with my system you keep the current once every 24hours per person system, but it adds 5 orders with the new 240 bank order system. This is just incase someone uses all their orders and could get alot of orders fast from just a few people. reason is so that could be used by any hood you have.. meaning you get more use out of all the attack orders we presently have.

If kabam or anyone has concerns with the inventory item that adds back orders. They could change that up as well with this system. Change it where it one one item gives you 40 orders, and a second item gives you 120 orders, and a third item thats gives you 240 orders. so kabam has a chance to make MORE MONEY off of this system.

-my second idea also combines the first system and current system. By making each hood start with 40 orders, but takes 10 minutes to "refull".. basically the same type of system now. but faster to refull.

I look forward to having a civil discussion with the community, free and diamond players and the rich oil fields owning people. Please post your thoughts on how the game is progressing. Mind you, i don't have any hope of this changing anything but i don't think there's any harm in discussing about it.


I honestly feel like i have wasted all the time i have put in and the hard work. From farming and unlocking all the hoods, puls, cops etc to even placing in over 7 tournies and all that as a free player. Undoubtedly soon, there will be players with 100k of these. Tellaro guys. Corlies, barzinis, tats and straccis....U guys are gone..lol. And since kickback drops are not really that good enough to compete with the large influx of paid only troops, i have no idea where to go from here? I think even those who spend here are starting to get enough of this "buy.buy.buy" campaign of Kabam. Kabam has every single right to earn lots of money. But not at the cost of the game itself. Please for the love of god, bring out stuff that enhances the gameplay experience not new items to buy, loose and then re-buy.

Again please refrain from flame posts and "Kabam sucks" posts. Keep things civil.

These days, it's very simple: the more you spend, the better you are, period.

"Back in the 'olden days" ... with marches limited to 10,000 soldiers, hoods limited to 1 (then 2, then 3), and units limited to professionals (then snipers, then butchers, then assassins) it was possible for free players to at least play in "the same league" as diamond players; and if you were willing to spend $25 or $30 a month to buy diamonds, and you played regularly (and in a clever way), you even had a reasonable chance at making Don. Now of course, with the introduction of 6 hoods, a new "super unit" ever week, tournaments that heap massive rewards (and more diamonds) on big diamond buyers, extended march sizes for paid players, pay only combat bonuses etc. the gap between free player (or even low level diamond buyer), and the big diamond buyer has become laughable. It's literally an "elephant stepping on ants scenario" (two completely different games).

So is there a solution? Obviously, Kabam! is unwilling to open up a "diamond free server" (since, presumably, most players would immediately congregate there), they are also unwilling to restructure protection so that low and mid-level players would be protected from bullying by ultra high level players ... but I can't help wonder whether it wouldn't be plausible for players to essentially do this themselves.

When the next server opens up (the newest server has currently hit high occupancy ... which usually means another will be forthcoming shortly), simply join it and append (ND!) to your player name and your crew name (if you create a crew). This will let everyone know that you and your crew forsakes the use of diamonds and the advantages that come with them, you agree to play the game strictly for free.

Then what do you do if a high level diamond player or crew begins attacking you? Well, simply set your hoods to hidden ... send any defensive units you have away to hide in a CS someplace (not foolproof, I know, but it's the best you can do) and send that diamond player a polite PM, something like: "Dear Sir/Madame: I have elected to play Godfather as a free player. As you no doubt are aware, it is completely impossible for a free player to compete with paid players such as yourself in this game. Therefore, with all due respect, I will not be defending or responding in any way to your attacks. I would politely ask you to refrain from attacking me, or players in my crew, as we've elected to play the game in our own way. I respect your decision to purchase diamonds, and thus play the game as you find it most enjoyable, I would simply ask you to respect my decision to play the game the way I enjoy it."

No doubt, some Diamond players will scoff and still bully and repeatedly farm you if you do this ... but the hope would be that they'll eventually become bored and agree to compete with one another.

Long story short ... the goal would be to establish essentially two tiers of players within a server, those who have pledged not to use diamonds (competing with one another) and those who have elected to purchase diamonds (also competing with one another).

Who knows if it would catch on or work? After all, it would depend on people being on "the honor system": the cynic in me says that would break down pretty quickly ("No way, I'm not using diamonds! Then how did I get all 6 hoods in one week? Umm ... I win big in lucky chance every day and every time I hit a Gang it drops the exact bond I need ... REALLY!").

Still ... on my current server, playing entirely for free, I am finding that the game can be "fun" so long as you compete with people "on your level" and essentially just "don't sweat" those who have chosen to spend big money on the game.

A large workshop, large garage, storehouse, two floor apartment [safe-house], small arena [boxing], morgue, pharmacy, haberdahery, clear some land for a golfing range [shooting] to get a general idea.

Here is what came back:

1. A garage upgrade to take 11-14 days in REAL-LIFE it would have to rain every single day because they would have to cover the cement and if it was raining heavily perhaps longer but on average 2-6 days maximum.
2. Ranges are mechanical hoes, tree-loppers etc... 1 day 3 if more than a few acres.
3. Rooms onto house, buildings, warehouses and the like nowhere near what you have.

Why don;t you make it real seeing this was your intent and PLEASE - NOT like lucky chances, make it like flipping a coin. Everytime you buuld you get a weather chance - sunny, sunny with chances of rain, rain, downpour etc... This then determines the length of building time. The times are not realistic.

- better still SEPARATE the expansions from the main neighborhoods in building.
I do not expect you to pay attention or listen or perhaps even find it valuable but if you are going to make it realtime, please do it in the real world.

I just got my chinatown deed yesterday. Now i'm off to get the expansion. Please share your experiences and view regarding the ct expansion drop rates. So far, i haven't received even one but i haven't really hit M2 enough to lend any view on the drop rate. Therefore, please give your views on this matter. Please keep the conversation civil and constructive. I'm sure that there are many slogging away to get these bonds. Any useful information you guys give will help us all. I understand that the Minc2 drops were adjusted to give better drops of kicks, favors and contracts which is great. But what about the ct expansion bonds? Share your thoughts. Also if you can, please give us your vault level just to determine if the vaults have any influence on the drops.

This is not true! For one thing it was the exact letter sent from a claim months ago, word for word. And secondly they could not have possibly checked, for if they did they would have found the mistake. The truth could be discovered in several ways if they only tried.
Our crew score before the last update was 1,544,833. Our crew leader Opened 13,000 john does, 3,000 body guards, 3,000 assassins, and 1,000 G-Men a half hour before the end. Our crew was never credited with these points 425,000 points that would have totaled 1,969,833 and earned us all 5 bronze Johnnie laws. To some of us smaller players that would be awesome! But Support won't even check! This is an injustice! 2 tickets and they close the case before even messaging. no real response even... Just copy and paste the denial and close the case before you can respond! tells you if not resolved open another and When he opened another they said it had already been accurately resolved ( A DIRECT LIE!) and close the case bore response.

So my question is: If we have a real issue Where do we go for real actual help? Please, this is just unfair! A mistake was made, ACTUALLY check the records! There is his inventory that can prove his opening the troops. His total respect should reflect his actions, These numbers will agree with each other but disagree with the hourly tournament standings. Come on guys this is SO provable! Please do the right thing here. He has spent thousands on your game. Is it really worth losing customers over a couple of pictures of cards that Don't really exist? 3) Diamonds: add diamonds for top tier only. keep the prizes same like now except add diamonds to top tier. You can't win this spot without spending diamonds anyway, So it is appropriate that it be included in the prize.

This is total BS for every non stracci player on our server... that someone can get back all their troops just from complaining to support. There was nothing inaccurate about 1 million L5 armed guard + all the other troops defeating Don Maria's attack. It not fair for her to get her troops back.


EDIT - oh and btw, if anything the battle was bugged in her favor, because I have L4 cops, L3 other JL, L5 thugs/sniper/widows etc but they dont show up as that in the report. i originally liked ur idea of splitting tourny but this isnt far for us higher player or lower player, they dont understand how to sue those unit sensibly, they will either become over confident and kill them, have no money cus of upkeep or quit cus they are confused and this is caused buy it. i think you should chnage the prizes in the different "tier" tournments to make it more apporpriate for the players ability.

I know this issue has been brought up before multiple times, but I wonder if you would ever consider opening up at least one server where diamonds can not be used?

I understand thta paid players are the "lifeblood" of this game, and Kabam in general. I also see plenty of players who enjoy buying diamonds and advancing up to the elite levels of the game as quickly as possible. I have no problem with that: all the power to 'em.

However, the fact is, that at present, there are basically 2 tiers to the game: the one that paid players are on, and the one that free players (or low level paid players are on). It's completely senseless to try to compete across levels.

When I first started playing this game in 2011, it was possible for a clever, free (or low level diamond purchaser) to "keep up" with high level players. Sure, those who spent more had an advantage, but when everyone had just 1 hood (and eventually 2, or 3) and when the top unit was the professional, you could produce enough to at least be competitive with the "big spender". Moreover, when marches were limited to 10,000 soldiers, even if the high level paid player had 1,000,000 soldiers you could still defend against them once you (as a free player) reached a certain army size.

I ran several crews on one of the now defunct servers that "kept up" with the diamond players just fine, but most of us either stuck to the "offers" or spent less than $50 per month.

Now, of course, the situation is totally different, with 6 hoods to obtain, multiple "super units" (many of which can't be trained within the game but must be purchased), tournaments that are always won by the biggest spenders (thus continually making the rich, richer), and now the crew purchase option, there's absolutely no way to keep up with the big diamond crews. I picked up the game again in 2013 and have been playing as completely free player. In about 2 months of play I've earned 5 of the 6 hoods and several million respect points ... but I see the big diamond players on my server get that many respect points in ONE TOURNAMENT. Similarly, they win bonus soldiers from one tournament that are equivalent to my whole army! When one of them decides to "farm" me, I just sort of smile and say: "OK, knock yourself out Chief ... there's no point to my competing with you. When you get tired of stepping on ants, let me know ..."

So, I wonder if perhaps Kabam! might consider doing one of the following:

1) Open up a single server where diamonds can not be used. Combined with a vigilant Kabam! moderator who watches for evidence of cheaters who use bots, scripts, etc.
2) Allow a Boss who starts a new crew to designate his or her crew a "non-diamond crew". It could be a simple "checkbox". If checked, access to diamonds would be blocked for people in that crew, and no one who has purchased diamonds in the past would be allowed to join such a crew.

My guess is that those two suggestions are going to go over like a big fat lead balloon, so here's one that might actually be feasible:

3) Divide the game up into tiers so that people would be blocked from attacking others who have far fewer experience points than they do (as a suggestion, let's say 10x fewer). Those players would simply appear as "under protection" to the more powerful players. To be fair to the higher level players, that protection would disappear if 1) the lower level player attacks an upper level player or 2) the lower level player goes inactive for more than 10 days. This would allow people to still "farm" inactive accounts to get money and resources, and 2) would not allow lower level players to hit higher level players without consequences, but it would also prevent someone with hundreds of millions of experience points (and armies to match) from swatting lower level players like mosquitoes.

In short, in addition to the protection you get when you start the game. You would also get protection from players with 1,000,000 experience, 10,000,000 experience, 100,000,000 experience, 1,000,000,000 experience and 10,000,000,000 experience. That protection would last until you attacked someone at that level, or until you obtained that many experience points yourself.

Every Veteran i know on my server, has 8-9 characters on new servers, where by spending 20-30 diamonds, they are winning 300 diamonds ... and basically ruining your idea of new players getting good stuff.

I know you cannot stop anyone from opening another accounts on other servers, but it is defeating the initial purpose of tiered tournies, low level players are not getting what they deserve.

To stop this, I think there should NOT be DIAMOND Prizes for low tier tournies, this way the new legit players will win something really good and not just loose to "BOGUS" accounts, who will FARM diamonds and then go away....

When you give 750 Diamonds and Gold JL Packages for a 1-2 day tournament; and then in a 3 day crew tournament give 3 x Dons Blessings; it is not hard to see that it appears miserly, stingy, crappy or any word you want to use that indicates that the prizes are not commensurate with the time taken and resources to win a tournament as a crew that is this long.

AT LEAST for a 3 x Day tournament - 1st Place - 150 Diamonds & 1 x Gold JL, 2nd Prize - 100 Diamonds & 1 x Silver JL, 3rd Prize - 50 Diamonds & 1 x Bronze JL. None for the remainder.
At least make it commensurate with the input. The output indicates that you only care about the money Kabam. We know you do, but making it obvious does not endear you to make people want to spend money.

In this crew alliance tournament, Crews from all families can choose to ally themselves ONLY with 1 other crew from a rival family. Both crews will then contribute to one concentration of respect points gained by doing every possible method, PVE, PVP, Building, Research, Training and Tribute. Attacking players with the alliance one is in with, will decrease their respect points gained by 1k.

The crew in the alliance that is contributing more respect, naturally will have the better rewards than the second crew which is lagging behind. But their positions can be interchanged if one crew gains more respect than the leading crew.

Leader Board will have only 5 spots, 2 crews acting as #1 another 2 crews acting as #2 and so on.

The Docks- With more people coming off the boats, this will make recruiting and training a lot more quicker. (20% decrease in training time for Thugs - Bruisers)

Pool House- With smoke in the air, tough guys and would be tough guys wont turn down a chance to work with us. (15% decrease in training time for Hitman - Tommy gunners)
