Its been a while since I've felt the need to compete for forum contest wins and prizes...but I am in this new sector, and I have a fresh interest in the game and forums.

So, with that behind me, here are my ideas for some forum contests:

Another Poetry Contest: This is desperately needed. The Haiku contest forever ago was great, and it inspired a lot of creativity. I would love to see a rhyming(ex. I love DH until I die, for my alliance I must spy.) or endless poem contest (ex. My name is Book, I love working with Rook, we work in an alliance on the sun. The people we meet, the alliances we beat, they ask us, whats your name? and I say my name is Book, I love working with Rook, we work in an alliance....).

An alliance emblem design contest!: We all love our alliances. I have been with mine for a year and a half-ish. It would be great to have an opportunity to show some alliance pride and make an emblem for us, and I'm sure other people feel the same way. Plus, its something other than a photoshop image contest. So theres that.

A EdgeWorld Banner design contest!: fairly self explanatory. You design a banner, the best one gets picked to go into the game and wins a prize!

A troop/general invention contest! : Send in your idea for a new troop, fairly non-specific in terms of stats: Just tell the unit's powers and unique strength, give an appearance description/a picture, and win! Bonus points for being realistic.

A turret design contest: You see my point here, from the above idea, right? Good.

A EdgeWorld culture contest! : Something I love personally is thinking about the vast world of Cerulea V. Are there any races we don't know about? A special holiday? Your version of a large event that happened? We all love a good premise, right?

Those are my best ideas. I'd absolutely love some feedback or other ideas. Thanks everyone! :)


...or, you know, just feel free to make me a mod and give me the right to make forum contests with a list of approved prizes. That'd be cool, too.

Given the co-occurance of Edgeworld's two year anniversary, and the launch of Kabam's newest title: "Fast and the Furious 6: the Game" there is only one logical conclusion--Edgeworld must conquer Hollywood!

To enter this contest, use image editing software to splice together Kira with a celebrity.

On Monday, June 10th we will pick our Favorites who will win their choice of either a General's Orders or a Black Market Patch. if no prize is specified, we will default to the General's Orders.

Some suggestions inlcude Kirastopher Walken, Kira Knightley, or Kira Diesel! Post your entry here in this thread, along with your character name, sector and preferred prize.
